Fat Teen Dreams

  • Fat Teen Dreams
  • As a fat teen, I spent a lot of time attending meetings with middle-aged women in church basements, making milkshakes from skim milk, ice, vanilla extract and sweet n' low, tallying points
  • The rest of my time I spent dreaming of alternative ways out of my 'predicament'
  • Discovering the perfect food equation
  • Making a break on broadway and literally dancing my butt off
  • Becoming addicted to heroin and wasting away in black and white and matte lipsticked perfection (preferably with a rock star boyfriend) Hey it was the 90's
  • Discovering a zipper hidden under my hairline which would allow me to unzip my fat flesh suit and emerge into the world as the beautiful girl I really, truly was
  • A tragic diagnosis of cancer, losing tons of weight in treatment but not my hair, having all the boys at school look at me with pity (and sexual interest!!!)
  • Fun Fact: When I actually did get diagnosed with cancer in my early thirties the only weight I lost was my uterus. It only weighs 60 grams! Bummer.
